The Singapore International Photography Festival (SIPF) 2012 exhibition is open for submission from 5 December 2011 to 30 April 2012. The festival's curators will select 50 bodies of works from the submitted entries. Short-listed entries will be exhibited in various venues across Singapore between 5 October and 18 November 2012. The selected participants will be notified via email in May 2012 and announced publicly in June 2012 on the festival website.

Upon SIPF's notification, selected participants are required to send in printing details and high-resolution files to the festival office in Singapore by 30 July 2012 for printing purposes. The festival at no additional cost to photographers will handle the print production. Selected participants will also have their works featured in the 3rd SIPF catalogue.

Submission Entry

  1. Entrants: Entry is open to anyone who satisfies all the terms and conditions.
  2. Entry and Closing Dates: Entries will be accepted from 5 December 2011, Singapore Time 0:00hr (UTC/GMT +8 hours), to 30 April 2012, Singapore Time 24:00hr (UTC/GMT +8 hours). All entries must be submitted on-line at register.sipf.sg
  3. On-line Submission and Medium: Only entries shot on either film or digital cameras are eligible. However, all images submitted must be in digital file format. Entrants must submit image files in RGB, jpeg format. The longest side of each image must not exceed 1280 pixels. Each file should not exceed 4 Mb in file size.
  4. Body of Work: Each body of work should contain at least 7 images and maximum of 17 images. Each photographer can submit up to 2 bodies of works maximum.
  5. Submission Fee: The entry fee for each body of work is USD $30. The entry fee is payable online during the submission process via Paypal. There is no additional fees payable if the festival selects your works. Transaction will be made to Osmosis Interactive Pte Ltd, the official festival online agency via Paypal services. No refunds will be allowed upon submission.
  6. Photographers' Copyrights: Entrants must represent and warrant that they are the original authors and owners of the copyrights' of all images submitted. Entries must not infringe the privacy rights, copyrights and/or any other rights of any person(s).
  7. Reproduction Rights of Organisers and Sponsors: The organisers and sponsors reserve the right to free reproduction and exhibition of the submitted images in all media, printed and on-line, but only in connection with SINGAPORE INTERNATIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY FESTIVAL and its promotion. The photographer will at all times, retain the copyright and, when the organiser or sponsors reproduce an image or images, the photographer will be credited. When image reproduction is unrelated to the Festival and its promotion, a fee will be agreed with the photographer in advance.
  8. Notification: A panel of curators will select shortlisted entries. All short-listed entrants will be notified by email in May 2012. Short-listed entrants must send in high-resolution files (i.e. in TIF format at 300dpi) and required printing details of selected images. All selected artwork must reach the festival office in Singapore by 30 July 2012, or forfeit the chance to participate. The organisers are not liable for any technical, hardware, or software failures of any kind or lost or unavailable network connections, which may limit or prohibit an eligible entrant's ability to participate in the festival.
  9. The festival office reserves the right to reject any images for any reasons.
  10. Agreement: By submitting, all eligible entrants agree to abide by each and all the Terms and Conditions stipulated. Any breach of agreement by an entrant will void their entries. The festival reserves the right to amend any of the Terms & Conditions without prior notice. Any amendments will be published on the website and it is the entrants' responsibility to review the website for any amendments.
